Osman Gökalp received his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Computer Engineering at Ege University in 2010, 2012, and 2018, respectively. He also served as a research assistant at Yaşar University’s Department of Software Engineering from 2011 to 2012, and later at the Department of Computer Engineering at Ege University from 2014 to 2021. Between 2021 and 2024, he held the position of assistant professor at Izmir Katip Çelebi University. As of March 2024, he began his role as an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at Izmir Institute of Technology. His research interests include evolutionary computation, metaheuristic algorithms, and machine learning.
