We are delighted to announce that Prof. Dr. Mahdi Hashemzadeh has joined our department.
He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Software Engineering from Azad University, Iran, in 2002 and 2006, respectively, and earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Technology from Zhejiang University, China, in 2013. From 2009 to 2013, he was a member of the CCNT Biometrics Laboratory at Zhejiang University.
Between 2013 and 2024, Prof. Hashemzadeh served as a tenured faculty member at the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Engineering, Azarbaijan Shahid Madani University, Iran, where he held the rank of Full Professor and directed the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Research Laboratory.
His primary research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, AI applications in Healthcare, and Intelligent Decision Support Systems.
