- The purpose of the internship is to increase the professional competencies of the undergraduate students by involving them in Computer Engineering profession; to
experience the applications of the theoretical knowledge they have acquired in the undergraduate program. - Internship course of the Department of Computer Engineering is determined as CENG400 following an approved Summer Internship Practices Application Form
by the end of the 6th semester. - Minimum Summer Internship duration determined by the department is at least 20 (twenty) working days and this internship period must be completed in a single
institution/company. - Public holidays should be taken into consideration when calculating the internship
duration.
Information for 2026 Spring and Fall Terms
Dear Students,
The issues related to the summer internship to be held at the end of the 2025 Spring and Fall semesters are as follows:
It is necessary for you to arrange the ‘Internship Application Form’ with the institution/organization where you will do the internship for taking out public holidays for
overall summer practice days within the start/end dates of the internship.
If Saturdays count as working days in the institution/organization where you will do the internship, they must provide an official document signed and sealed stating this manner to our department.
The ‘Internship Application Form’ must be submitted to the Department Internship Coordinator for approval at least 20 days before the internship start date.
The signed Internship Application Form filled out by the institutions/organizations where the internship will be performed will be delivered by hand to the Department
Internship Coordinator to confirm the dates and eligibility.
Students who want to do the internship must register for the CENG400 Summer Practice course the following semester.
The MS Teams code to enroll online classroom will be announced for those students before their internship period starts.
Internship Guideline and Required Documents
Summer Practice documents must be filled out electronically. In addition to the current ‘Internship Application Form’ and ‘Unemployment Fund Contribution Information Form’ documents in the internship application process, the ‘SPAS entitlement certificate’ that can be downloaded from the e-Government system must also be submitted to the
internship coordinator at least 15 days before the internship start date. All forms must be filled in by using computer but signed by hand.

The information requested in the form, especially the TR ID number, must be entered correctly and submitted to the internship coordinator at least 15 days before the
internship start date.
When filling out the form, please ensure that the internship duration information which states the number of working days is consistent with the start and the end dates of the internship. The end date should be written as the day the internship ends.
Public holidays should be taken into consideration when calculating the internship duration.
The boxes below the form indicating whether or not you will be working on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays must be filled accurately.
Forms will be returned if they are incomplete or incorrect.
Announcement:
Those who are in the status of graduation and have completed their internship within the scope of single course exam right this summer can submit their reports after completing their internship.
