Damla Oğuz received B.Sc. degrees in Software Engineering and Industrial Systems Engineering from İzmir University of Economics in 2008 and 2009, respectively. She obtained her M.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from İzmir Institute of Technology in 2012. She continued her education under joint supervision between Paul Sabatier University and Ege University. She received her Ph.D. degree from both Paul Sabatier University and Ege University in 2017. She worked as an assistant professor in Department of Software Engineering at Yaşar University between 2018 and July 2019. She was employed as an assistant professor at İzmir Institute of Technology in the Department of Computer Engineering in December 2019.
Her current research interests are data mining and query optimization in distributed databases.
