Turgut Kalfaoglu did his Bachelor of Science in the field of Computer Sciences at Elmira College, Elmira, NY. He did his masters and doctorate studies in Ege University, Izmir.
He has worked for the European Academic Research Network (EARN) as technical staff for eight years in Paris, during which he created and programmed various servers, worked as a network administrator and provided technical support to country representatives of the EARN Association.
During his work at Ege University, he became a systems administrator, a programmer, DBA, a web designer and a project manager. He was the head of the Ege University’s internet services offering called EGENET. There, he coordinated office staff, wrote numerous programs, managed servers and maintained liaison with the customers of the internet service.
He has had his TV and radio programs, all on computers and The Internet. He has taught classes at several universities in several countries on a wide range of computer-related topics. He worked as the head of the computer center for two years and as a faculty member for about ten years at Izmir Institute of Technology.
